TIA Wastewater is pleased to announce that they have been commissioned by St. Catherine's Monastery in Sinai / Egypt to build a turnkey wastewater treatment plant. In addition, TIA Abwassertechnik will build a second wastewater treatment plant for the nearby village. Both plants will be built according to the proven TIA COMPACT-System system for municipal wastewater treatment. TIA COMPACTmini is a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant for COD/BOD degradation as well as nitrogen elimination. The standardised design facilitates operation and maintenance and saves costs.

St. Catherine's Monastery was built in the 6th century and is one of the oldest monasteries in the world.Today it is Greek Orthodox and because of its isolated location it has never been destroyed. About 50,000 pilgrims and tourists from all over the world visit this monastery every year.

We would like to express our sincere thanks for the trust placed in us and are proud to be able to contribute to providing the monastery and the nearby village with a modern and friendly sewage infrastructure.
