BMU - Federal Environment Ministry presents "National Water Strategy“

14. يونيو 2021

The Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze presented her draft for a National Water Strategy for Germany at the 3rd BMU Water Forum and the National Water Dialogue.

This strategy is intended to meet the challenge of providing clean water in sufficient quantities. This can no longer be taken for granted in times of climate change. By 2050, all stakeholders are obliged to ensure the sustainable use of water as a resource.

Among other things, the wastewater levy is to be more closely aligned with the polluter-pays principle, the topic of water pollution. In this way, clearer incentives are also to be industrial enterprises to reduce the water pollution caused by wastewater from their operations even more sustainably.
